Cash Bandits Museum Heist Slots
RTG returns to Cash Bandit's life with another entry in his series of bonus slots. In Cash Bandits Museum Heist, the bandit is back with his friend, and they're in an art museum ready to nab valuable paintings right off the wall. Our review of the game breaks down everything you need to know about the game and its special features.
The Game Design
Museum Heist is set against the background featuring a grand stone museum with massive marble pillars and gorgeous gardens. Clouds drift by and leaves flutter to the ground with the gentle breeze that's blowing.
The bottom of the game grid has all of your game controls. The "I" brings up the paytable, and then you have the game speed option, buttons to set your wager, the big green spin button, and autoplay options. Audio controls are on the far right. Soft piano music plays as the reels spin.
Betting Options
In all, you'll find 25 paylines with coin values starting as low as a penny and increasing to the max of $1. The highest possible wager is $25 per spin. The coin button to the right of the spin button automatically sets the max bet. Otherwise, use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the wager to your comfort zone.
The Payouts
You need three or more matching symbols across one of the 25 paylines. If you succeed, these are the payouts. You can win a maximum of 50,000 coins per spin.
- Emerald - 5 to 50 coins
- Sapphire Ring - 5 to 75 coins
- Earrings - 5 to 85 coins
- Necklace - 8 to 100 coins
- Faberge Egg - 8 to 125 coins
- Bust - 8 to 175 coins
- Painting - 20 to 200 coins
- Crown - 24 to 250 coins
- Museum - 30 to 300 coins
- Museum Employee - 40 to 350 coins
- Guard - 50 to 400 coins
The pair of bandits are wild. From time to time, the Blue or Purple Bandit will suddenly appear as a much larger symbol and trigger the Morphing Wild Feature where he takes up a 3x3 section of the reels. Expect much bigger payouts with this feature. The final symbol is the Cash Bandits logo, and it is the key to the bonus round.
The Bonus Round
Three or more scatters lead to the bonus round. You win five, seven, or nine free spins depending on how many scatters triggered the bonus feature.
You're shown a wall with eight paintings. Pick them carefully as three wrong moves trigger the security alarm and the bonus round ends. The Free Games Boosters that are hidden behind paintings include:
- 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x multipliers
- The first reel is wild
- The fifth reel is wild
- The second, third, and fourth reels contain a giant symbol
Here is the one issue we've encountered playing Cash Bandits Museum Heist. No matter how many times we've tried the bonus round, we almost always end up triggering the alarm before we win a booster. It's very difficult to win a booster. For that reason, we find the pick 'em safe-cracking bonus rounds of previous games with this character are far more rewarding.
Per the rules, three triggering scatters ensure there will be one to three boosters hidden in the paintings. Four triggering scatters guarantee two to four boosters are hidden. All five triggering scatters ensure three to five scatters are hidden.
The Jackpots
There are two progressive jackpots available. You can win one or both of them randomly in the base game. They are not available during the free spins. At the time of this slot game review, the Minor Jackpot was almost $460, while the Major Jackpot was nearing $1,780. They can be very rewarding surprises if you happen to be randomly chosen to win.
Our Slot Game Rating
How do we rate Cash Bandits Museum Heist? We've never kept our enjoyment of the prior entry into the Cash Bandits series hidden. We love the safe-cracking bonus rounds, progressive jackpot prizes, and random features. This one is a bit different, but it's just as much fun. Slot game winners and players who are new to slots are going to love it.
